Description : Clove leaf oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of Eugenia caryophylatta.

1. Appearance : Dark brown liquid, thickens with age and exposure.
Having a strong aromatic odour, pungent and spicy taste.
2. Specific Gravity ( 20° C) : 1.025 - 1.0609
3. Refractive Index ( 20° C) : 1.527 - 1.541
4. Assay ( Eugenol Content) : Min. 78% ( Wet Method)
5. Solubility in 70% ethanol ( v/ v) : 1 : 2 clear

Storage Condition : Store in full, tight, light-resistant containers in a cool place, protected from light.
Shelf life : 2 ( two) years.
Packaging : In iron drum.
Status : Does not contain any foreign matters.
Use : Flavoring agent.
